Ar. Ada FUNG Panel Chair Ar. Ada FUNG, BBS (BIMer of the Year 2014) is the Chairperson of the Committee on BIM of the CIC. With a passion to drive BIM adoption in both local and global arena, Ada is President of Hong Kong Alliance of Built Asset & Environment Information Management Associations, Chairperson of Hong Kong Chapter of buildingSMART International, and Chairperson of Asia-Pacific Regional BIM Group. Being an Architect by profession, Ada is an active member in society, driving continuous improvement and sustainable development for the built asset industry. She has been the Deputy Director of Housing supervising the Development & Construction Division of the Housing Department until end of 2017. Ada is the President of the Lighthouse Club (HK), and Director of the Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre, amongst other services in the civil society.

Dr. Neo CHAN Panel Member Dr. Neo CHAN (Young BIMer of the Year 2014) is a member of CIC Committee on BIM, a member of the BIM Assessment Panel of CIC's BIM Personnel Certification and Training Course Accreditation Schemes and a member of the BIM Vetting Sub-committee on CITF. He was the Chairman (2017-2019) of HKIBIM and was awarded as the Young BIMer 2014 of the Year and Construction Industry Outstanding Young Person 2019 by the CIC. He has fully engaged himself in BIM development and promotion for Hong Kong construction industry for over a decade. Dr. CHAN is a founder of VirCon Limited. He has been focusing and working on the execution of BIM since 2005. He is one of the BIM pioneers in HK in the research and provision of BIM services and Virtual construction for A/E/C industry. He manages currently over 200 BIM professional and technical staff to execute more than 300 BIM projects.

Dr. Jack CHENG Panel Member Dr. Jack CHENG (Young BIMer of the Year 2014) is currently an Associate Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Director of BIM Lab, Director of RFID Center, and Associate Director of GREAT Smart Cities Center at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He has been teaching and conducting research related to BIM and digital construction at HKUST for over a decade. His research interests include BIM, IoT, artificial intelligence, computer vision, laser scanning, construction robotics, construction management, and smart and green buildings. He has co-authored over 250 publications. He is currently the Chairperson of CIC BIM Standards Task Force, President of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Greater China Section, Chairman of Autodesk Industry Advisory Board (AIAB), Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modeling (HKIBIM), Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), and Editorial Board Member of several international journals. He is a Professional Member of HKIBIM, CIC-Certified BIM Manager, and a Certified Carbon Auditor Professional (CAP). He has received the Construction Industry Outstanding Person Award in 2019 and Young BIMer of the Year in 2014 from the CIC.

Ms. Argoon CHUANG Panel Member Ms. Argoon CHUANG (Young BIMer of the Year 2014) is the Digital Transformation Lead of AECOM's Southeast Asia region based in Singapore. She has over 18 years' experience in the digital and engineering industry with working experience in many countries across Asia. Argoon takes charge of formulating digital roadmap for AECOM business lines in the Southeast Asia region. She leads a team to leverage and drive new technology implementation to support, enhance productivity and develop value-adding digital solutions to AECOM's clients. With Civil Engineering background, Argoon has worked as BIM Manager and GIS Software Developer for many large-scale infrastructure and building projects, setting out information management strategy and lead collaboration process among the multidisciplinary teams. |

Ar. David FUNG Panel Member Ar. David FUNG (BIMer of the Year 2014) is a registered architect with over 27 years of architectural experience in Australia and Hong Kong. He has been using BIM for 22 years and applied this technology into building design, documentation and co-ordination, construction and facility management. He is the Past Chairman of HKIBIM (2015-2017) and awarded CIC BIMer of the Year in 2014.

Ar. Alvin KUNG Panel Member Ar. Alvin KUNG (Young BIMer of the Year 2014) was educated at UC Berkeley and Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, Barcelona, before his Master at CUHK, graduated with HKIA Student Medal. He received numerous design recognition, including First Prize, FuturArc Prize 2010; CreateSmart Young Design Talent Award 2016 and HKIA Young Architect Award 2018.

Ms. Erica LAM Panel Member Ms. Erica LAM (Young BIMer of the Year 2014) witnessed the drastic increase in popularity of BIM as it became part of the process of various project such as preparation of design, government submission and tender drawings during the stages of detail design, contract documents and construction period. It is the new ways of processing, which incorporated the best from BIM and the traditional method over the last twelve years in the profession of construction. Erica is an Assistant Manager (Building Information Management) at New World Construction Co., Ltd. Her main work process from BIM modelling to BIM management. BIM projects include complex roof geometry of a railway terminus, airport midfield concourse, universities, cargo terminal, commercial building, and residential village. Erica is the award winner of Singapore's International BIM Competition 2011 and "Young BIMer of the Year 2014" by the CIC of Hong Kong. From 2017 to 2019, She is Board Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling (HKIBIM), and also she is also a part-time BIM lecturer and trainer in various institutes.

Ir Francis LEUNG Panel Member Ir Francis LEUNG (BIMer of the Year 2014) is a professional structural engineer, Registered Structural Engineer and Fellow Member of HKIE. He is also the Founding Chairman and re-elected Chairman in 2019, The Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling established in 2009. He is now the Vice President of Hong Kong Alliance of Built Asset & Information Management Associations (HKABAEIMA). Ir Francis LEUNG has been developing BIM for more than 15 years. Start from self-learning the use of BIM software, BIM is now implemented at a corporate level to manage information generated from design and construction for the use by Facility Management. He implemented BIM in contractor, developer and now in engineering consultant for project and corporate level of BIM application. Recently, he promotes Information Management as the next level of BIM. Ir LEUNG believes that BIM development is not about the technology. It is more about the mentality and management style which are now changed by BIM.

Mr. Simon NG Panel Member Mr. Simon NG (Young BIMer of the Year 2014) is the Head of BIM in one of the largest main contractor in Hong Kong. Simon leads a team of more 40 BIM specialists to support BIM implementation across project, his team also serves as central support in development of corporate BIM standard, workflow of various BIM application, training plan, and automation tools, etc. Being awarded as the "Young BIMer of the Year 2014" award by the CIC of Hong Kong, Simon has extensive experience in BIM management such as modelling standard, execution plan, template, family database, skills development, training, etc. Simon is a Mechanical Engineer and had a wide range of experience in engineering design, project management and application of Information Technology in construction industry.

Ir Derek SO Panel Member Ir Derek SO (BIMer of the Year 2014) joined Hip Hing Construction in 2015 as an Executive Director. He graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1986 with an Associateship in Civil and Structural Engineering and qualified as a Chartered Structural Engineer in 1990. Ir SO has over 33 years of experience in civil engineering and building construction in Hong Kong, India and the Middle East. Prior to joining Hip Hing, he worked at Gammon Construction and Ove Arup & Partners.

Ms. Vikki TSUI Panel Member Ms. Vikki TSUI (HD(Civil), BSc(EnvS), MSc(EnvST)) (Young BIMer of the Year 2014) has been appointed as a geotechnical technical officer in government for nearly 19 years. She is mainly responsible for the preparation of geotechnical engineering drawings and carrying out geotechnical engineering calculations. In 2014, Ms. TSUI was nominated to participate in the first BIM Excellence Awards organised by the CIC. She is one of the awardee of the Young BIMer of the Year. In early stages of planning and design, although BIM has three powerful functions for building model, the functions could not integrate with each other. The data could not be synchronized and exchanged. Ms. TSUI tried to use Civil3D, ArcGIS / Map3D and Revit in comprehensive manner. This approach is the "CAR" Approach. Ms. TSUI had a great dedication and commitment in researching and exploring for the full capacity of the software.
