Construction Innovation and Technology Fund (CITF)

CITF

The Construction Innovation and Technology Fund (the CITF) is established to encourage wider adoption of innovative constructive methods and new technologies in the construction industry with a view to promoting productivity, uplifting built quality, improving site safety and enhancing environmental performance. The CITF will cover two aspects, namely technology adoption and manpower development. The CITF will be used to encourage the construction industry to use new and proven technologies developed within or outside Hong Kong. The CITF has a total of HK$1 billion funding.

CIC Research and Technology Development Fund (R&D Fund)

The CIC believes that research and innovation are of great importance to the sustainable development of the Hong Kong construction industry. Hence, CIC is committed to working closely with industry stakeholders to drive innovation and initiate practical research projects. The CIC Research and Technology Development Fund (R&D Fund) is set up to provide financial support for research projects which can benefit the Hong Kong construction industry through practical application of the research outcomes, covering the areas of (i) Building Information Modelling (BIM); (ii) Construction Procurement and Project Management; (iii) Construction Productivity; (iv) Construction Safety; and (v) Green Construction.

BIM-Automation of Gross Floor Area (GFA) Calculation, Fire Safety and Prescribed Checking for General Building Plans (GBP) Preparation
