CIC Webinar on BIM Certification and Accreditation Schemes (BIMCAS) – New Tier of CIC-Certified BIM Coordinator (Associate) and Re-sitting Mechanism of Interview Assessment of BIM Personnel under BIMCAS

In late 2022, Construction Industry Council (CIC) conducted a holistic review on the supply and demand model of BIM personnel and a White Paper was then compiled to report the findings and to develop strategic plans on BIM personnel development. One of the key recommendations of the White Paper is to add a new tier of personnel – CIC-Certified BIM Coordinator (Associate) or CCBC(A), which was opened for applications from 22 March 2023.

Besides, a new re-sitting mechanism of interview assessment of BIM personnel under BIM Certification and Accreditation Schemes (BIMCAS) was set up with effect from 1 March 2023. It is expected that this would encourage more BIM practitioners to apply for certification while maintaining the quality of the certified BIM Personnel.
