Ar. Prof. Ada FUNG
Panel Chair

Ar. Prof. Ada FUNG is an Architect by profession. She is an active member in the architectural field and the construction industry in Hong Kong & Asia Pacific Region. She has been the Deputy Director of Housing supervising the Development & Construction Division of the Housing Department until end of 2017.

Ar. Prof. FUNG is the President of the Lighthouse Club (HK), member of Advisory Council on the Environment, Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre and Green Tech Fund Assessment Committee. She is the Chairperson of the Committee on Building Information Modelling (BIM) of the Construction Industry Council (CIC), President of the Hong Kong Alliance of Built Asset & Environment Information Management Associations and Chairperson of Hong Kong Chapter of BuildingSMART International. She is an Adjunct Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Hong Kong, and serves as Advisor to various Associations and Institutions in the fields of architecture, engineering, environment, construction, safety, smart city, quality, project management, BIM, etc.

Ar. Prof. FUNG was the past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (2013 - 2014), past Chairperson of the APEC Architect Monitoring Committee of Hong Kong (2012/13 - 2015/16), the Architects Registration Board (2010/11 - 2011/12) and the Committee on Construction Safety of the CIC (2016 & 2017), Director of the World Green Building Council (2018-2020) and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (2014-2019).

Ar. Prof. FUNG has received Lighthouse Club's Golden Helmet Award for Safety Leadership (2012), CIC's BIMer of the Year Award (2014) and International Passive and Low Energy Architecture Award (2018), Distinguished Faculty of Architecture Fellow in the Faculty of Architecture, University of Hong Kong (2019).

 

       

Mr. AU YEUNG Hoi-pang

Mr AU YEUNG Hoi-pang is a corporate member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and currently the Assistant Director / New Buildings 2 of the Buildings Department.  He has been working in the department since 1995 as a structural engineer.  His working experience includes processing submissions of foundation/structural works of new buildings and railway development in the New Buildings Division, handling existing building matters in the Existing Buildings Division, overseeing the Technical Services Section in the Corporate Services Division and etc.  He has overseen the development of the Building Records Access and Viewing On-line system and the Electronic Submission Hub of the department.

Prof. Jack CHENG

Dr. Jack CHENG is currently an Associate Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Director of BIM Lab, Director of RFID Center, and Associate Director of GREAT Smart Cities Center at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He has been teaching and conducting research related to BIM and digital construction at HKUST for over a decade. His research interests include BIM, IoT, artificial intelligence, computer vision, laser scanning, construction robotics, construction management, and smart and green buildings. He has co-authored over 250 publications. He is currently the Chairperson of CIC BIM Standards Task Force, President of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Greater China Section, Chairman of Autodesk Industry Advisory Board (AIAB), Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modeling (HKIBIM), Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), and Editorial Board Member of several international journals. He is a Professional Member of HKIBIM, CIC-Certified BIM Manager, and a Certified Carbon Auditor Professional (CAP). He has received the Construction Industry Outstanding Person Award in 2019 and Young BIMer of the Year in 2014 from the CIC.

Ir Clement CHUNG

Ir Clement CHUNG, Director of Arup, has 28 years of experience in MEP design and management. He has led the successful delivery of many large-scale projects, ranging from data centres and manufacturing facilities to railways and hospitals. He brings together experts from across disciplines and drives a fully coordinated digital workflow to realise total design solutions that are highly energy-efficient, reliable and resilient.

Ir CHUNG plays a prominent role in promoting the better and wider use of BIM in the Hong Kong construction industry.  He is a member of the CIC Committee on BIM and Task Force on BIM Standards, and serves as Chairperson of the Task Force on BIM Training.  He works closely with various stakeholders to establish the protocols, standards and training requirements appropriate and applicable to the local industry to enable widespread adoption.

Dr. Calvin KAM

A licensed architect as well as an engineer in the USA, Dr. Calvin Kam is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University's Center for Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE), where he specializes in strategic innovation such as Management Scorecards, Building Information Modeling, Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), Sustainable Developments and Smart Cities Evaluation. Dr. Kam is the Founder of Strategic Building Innovation | bimSCORE—the "GPS Navigator" for any enterprise or project team charting a course for construction innovation. Calvin is an appointed international BIM expert for the Singapore government's Building Construction Authority and the only international Honorary Director of the China National BIM Union. At the American Institute of Architects, Dr. Kam has served as the former National Co-Chairman of the Center for Integrated Practice and former National Chairman of Technology Knowledge Community. Calvin was a recipient of various AIA, ASCE, SOM, Stanford University Fellowships, ENR's "20 under 40" and the BD&C's "40 under 40" awards.

Mr. Anderson LEUNG, a qualified Quantity Surveyor, is currently the Director of Works and Contracts Division in the Urban Renewal Authority. He is leading a multi-disciplinary team to manage the implementation of redevelopment projects and conservation projects, and arrange repair and maintenance works for the organisation's premises. He has extensive experience in setting the standard and quality of redevelopment projects. He is now coordinating the smart provisions of the redevelopment projects and sustainability development of the organisation. He is also a co-opted member of Green Labelling Committee for years 2020-2021.

Mr. Stephen LEUNG

Mr. Stephen LEUNG is an architect by profession.  He has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry in both the private and public sectors.

In his position as Assistant Director of Housing, he leads a multi-disciplinary team for the implementation of public housing developments in Hong Kong, covering a wide spectrum of tasks on projects from feasibility, planning, design to construction stages as well as on development and procurement central functions.  He has been steering and overseeing the development and application of information technology including but not limited to Building Information Modeling (BIM), Geographic Information System (GIS) and Information and Technology to enhance the business practices of the Development and Construction Division of the Housing Authority.

Ir Kelvin WONG

Ir Kelvin WONG began his career with Airport Authority Hong Kong in 1995 as a graduate engineer in the new airport project department.  Since then he has held a series of management positions, most recently as General Manager, Technical Services Systems under Engineering and Technology Division and is accountable for the engineering, maintenance and new technology development aspects of the Hong Kong International Airport.

Ir WONG is a professional engineer with over twenty years' experience in airport engineering field, with an emphasis on airport systems and infrastructure projects for the Hong Kong International Airport.

Ir WONG is an active participant in building and construction community.  He is a committee member of BIM in CIC and a Task Force member on BIM Standards of CIC to help advocate on adoption of BIM for Capital Works Projects and building facilities management in Hong Kong.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree, with first class honours, in electrical engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a master's degree in Building Services Engineering from the University of Hong Kong.

Ms. Rosana WONG

Panel Member

Ms. Rosana WONG leads Yau Lee Group to be an integrated green corporation providing multidisciplinary construction services. She is passionate about technology, innovation and dynamic spatial data, and has found Ophylla Ventures and a group of start-ups to research and develop smart city solutions.

Ms. WONG is also a Director of Hong Kong Cyberport and the Chair of Construction and Facilities Committee, Vice President of Smart City Consortium and the Chair of Smart Living Committee, Deputy Director of CGBC(HK), and member of various Government bodies, including Transport Advisory Committee, Chair of Transport Complaints Unit, Green Minibus Operators Selection Board and Sub-committee on Access of Rehabilitation Advisory Committee. She is also a Co-Chair of CIC's Task Force on BIM Personnel Development, member of the CIC’s Committee on BIM and Advisor Panel for Signature CDE Course, Council Member of the HKTDC Mainland Business Advisory Committee and member of HKTaxi Industry Innovation Committee.
