This time, we are pleased to have Esri China (Hong Kong) in supporting our BIM Advanced Workshop. Content of the workshop (Information provided by vendor): Projects are the primary drivers in any architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firm. In this workshop, we will take a deeper look at the intersection of GIS and BIM in the context of better project collaboration and delivery. Specifically, we will introduce a new Esri product called ArcGIS GeoBIM and show how it can be leveraged with a project delivery subscription to supercharge your design, engineering, and construction projects. ArcGIS GeoBIM is a solution for exploring BIM, engineering documents, and project management issues in a geographic context to analyse risks, costs, and timelines. GeoBIM allows you to integrate and visualise GIS data with engineering documents to make coordinated decisions across project teams. Speaker: Mr. Vincent YEUNG, GIS Support Manager, Esri China (Hong Kong) An electronic copy of CPD attendance certificate will be issued to qualified participants after the workshop. For registration, please send email to bimspace@cic.hk and state with your preferred workshop date, name, organisation, contact number and email address. BIM Education Symposium 2022

25/01/2022 | 09:00 – 12:05

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) started to provide BIM training programmes to industry practitioners in facilitating the adoption of BIM in the construction industry since 2009. Nevertheless, it is essential to equip our new generations on BIM. Since December 2017, the CIC had signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with nine higher education institutions (HEIs) in Hong Kong for introducing knowledge of BIM into their programmes. To share the achievements and good practices in BIM education among HEIs and prepare ahead for construction digitalisation in Hong Kong, the CIC is organising the first-ever BIM Education Symposium in Hong Kong to create synergy in driving BIM education in HEIs. It also aims to create a platform for the academia and industry to share and exchange ideas on BIM-enabled modern construction and other trending topics that are essential for students' careers. Speakers: Representatives of Higher Education Institutes, ARUP, Gammon, Transcendence and the CIC Should you have any queries, please contact Ms. Ella POON (email: ellapoon@cic.hk; tel: 2100 9053). Remarks: An electronic copy of CPD attendance certificate will be issued to participants with over 80% attendance within one month after the live webinar. Any attendance on replay sessions after webinar will not be considered for CPD attendance certificate. Please use full name as your i-Club profile name for issuing the CPD attendance certificate.
