Construction is still one of the world's least digitised sector. To change this situation, Governments all over the world are taking the leading role to proactively drive the digital transformation by developing BIM standards and mandating the adoption of BIM in public projects. With the major players in the construction industry progressively adopting BIM, the use of BIM for project collaboration is now becoming the new norm in the construction sector.

In this webinar, we are delighted to have Dr. LI Yungui, Chief Expert of China State Construction and Ir Francis LEUNG, Chairman of HKIBIM to tell us how BIM has disrupted the construction industry in Mainland China and Hong Kong. They will share with us their insights into:

  • Government Policy to promote the adoption of BIM
    • Qualification requirements/certification of BIM practitioners in Mainland China and Hong Kong
    • BIM standards applied in Mainland China and Hong Kong
    • Experience sharing on BIM for statutory plan submission and e-submission
    • BIM Standards or guidelines for DfMA/MiC/Prefabrication
  • Hurdles for widespread adoption of BIM
  • Sharing on BIM adoption experience in Mainland China and Hong Kong
  • Cross-border opportunities for BIM practitioners
  • Views on the open BIM approach
  • Vision on the future development of BIM and the construction industry
