Application Fee and Procedure

Certiﬁcation of BIM Managers (CCBM)

Eligibility

The Certiﬁcation of BIM Managers is targeted at BIM practitioners who wish to be certiﬁed by CIC as BIM managers.
Applicants who already have relevant practical experience in BIM projects, meet the relevant academic and/or professional qualiﬁcation requirements, and have completed a CIC-Accredited BIM Manager Course.

There are four routes, viz. Normal route, Adept route, Grandfathering route and Special route for Application for Certification of BIM Managers.

Adpet route is opened for application on 1 Jan 2022.

Grandfathering route and Special route are no longer available. The former lapsed on 31 December 2019 and the latter lapsed on 31 December 2020.

The applicant visits www.bim.cic.hk and read the application guideline.

The applicant prepares and submits the application form with supporting documents and an application fee.

Application fee: HK$2,000 HK$500 (Valid until 31 December 2021)

Application fee: HK$2,000 HK$1,000 (Valid from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023)

CIC verifies application.

Application of Certiﬁcation of BIM Managers (CCBM)

Assessment panel conducts interview with the applicant.

CIC notifies the applicant of the result.

Renewal of registration by successful applicant every year (Continuing Professional Development required).

CCBM: 12 BIM-related CPD hours and renewal fee HK$1,000 HK$300 (Valid until 31 December 2021)

CCBM: 12 BIM-related CPD hours and renewal fee HK$1,000 HK$500 (Valid from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023)
